Located on the beautiful campus of The College of William & Mary, which was founded in 1693, the Muscarelle Museum of Art houses approximately 3,600 paintings, sculptures and works on paper, and hosts numerous traveling exhibits of both public and private art collections. The museum shop offers a nice selection of gifts. Opened in 1983, the Muscarelle Museum of Art is accredited by the American Association of Museums. Museum hours are 10 AMT to 4:45 PM Tuesday through Friday and 12 PM to 4 PM Saturday and Sunday.
