Situated along the York River, the Moore House played an important role during the siege of Yorktown, serving as the locale for surrender negotiations between Continental and British troops in 1781. The Moore House was significantly damaged during the Civil War but has been extensively renovated over the years by the National Park Service. Tours of the Moore House are offered on a seasonal basis. Call ahead for hours of operation.
