Nauticus, The National Maritime Center, is located on Norfolk's beautiful downtown waterfront. The 120,000-square-foot center features more than 150 hands-on exhibits, including "95,000 Miles of Coastal Knowledge." Nauticus is also home to The Hampton Roads Naval Museum. Adjacent to Nauticus lies the Tugboat Museum and the Battleship Wisconsin, which earned five battle stars during World War II. In addition, two-hour cruises depart daily from the Nauticus Pier. Nauticus is open from 10 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through Saturday and from 12 PM to 5 PM Sunday. Between Memorial Day and Labor Day, Nauticus is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.
