Built circa 1730 by William Byrd II, who founded Richmond, Westover Plantation is known for its Georgian-style architectured and beautiful surrounding gardens. The grounds and gardens are open daily from 9 AM to 6 PM (the house is not open to the public). Westover Plantation is located between Williamsburg and Richmond, off Route 5 in Charles City.
